TROPICAL STRENGTH

At the beginning of the year, Tropical Strength dropped a Double A Side release, featuring singles ‘Stuck In The Credits’ and ‘Call The Doctor’.

The first taste of new music from brothers Al Foil and Sir Dinsington in about a year, the new tracks display a development of sound for the Austinmer based art-damaged, chamber pop, outfit.

The tracks were recorded with a live band, comprising of current and former members of South Coast superstar acts, who have all joined Tropical Strength as permanent band members. Joining the Brothers Webster is Jay Bird (Jack Ladder & The Farmlanders, The Walking Who), P-dogg Mclean (Dope Lemon, The Walking Who) and Luke Spook (The Pinheads),

‘Stuck In The Credits’ is the result of Tropical Strength setting out to make a ‘60s sunshine pop love song, but without the pop sensibilities nor the desire to succumb to the simplicity of the genre, so instead, it’s an art damaged karaoke song.

The ethereal and re-imagined ‘Call The Doctor’, was originally written some years ago whilst Foil was experiencing ongoing illness and felt it a good time to record with a blocked nose.. The new Tropical Strength band took the track on an entirely new journey when they started playing it live and together they travelled into new a new realm with it.
