Following a 2 year hiatus, TEES have returned for your listening pleasure with their first single – ‘Collide’ – off their upcoming album.
TEES have spent their time experimenting, pausing and taking time to release something that reflects their transition over time, demonstrating a greater sense of restraint and subtlety.
‘Collide’ was realised on a cattle farm in Reidsdale NSW, an unlikely location for the dark, glossy dance track combined with generous servings of smooth sensual sax. ‘Collide’ sets the scene, for the end of the night and describes the mystery surrounding the first meeting. The story follows the journey of initial attraction, the fantasies created in the mind and the excitement that ensues within the unknown. The protagonist has a “collision” with reality however, after the object of desire reveals themselves as not what was imagined. The song ends with a sense of disappointment, and a new wisdom to question the pedestal the mind constructs.
