The Silhouette Label is a new label founded by Shining Bird members Russell Webster and James Kates in conjunction with Farmer & The Owl co-founder Jeb Taylor to release future music from the band, related projects and music by their friends. Current artists include:
ALARA LIVINGSTONE
Alara is a teenage artist from the northern suburbs of Wollongong who Russell discovered during a mentoring program at Bulli High School and has since been working with Alara on the first recordings which you can expect to hear soon.
DROPPING HONEY
Wollongong shoegaze/pos punk band Dropping Honey were a fixture on the local music scene during the nineties and have returned with a brand new single and more new music to come!
RUSSELL W
A member of Shining Bird and Tropical Strength, Russell W is also a prolific solo artist/producer.
SHINING BIRD
Leisure coast legends Shining Bird return in 2024 with the release of their new album Open Ground, a collaboration between Silhouette and their long-time home Spunk Records.
STEVE BOURKE
Step-Panther founder, Hockey Dad live bass player and songwriting contributor, Steve Bourke is set to release his own solo album in 2024 via Silhouette.
