e4444e is a visually inspired, experimental artist from Newcastle, Australia.
Abstract visual artists, skate films, trees, the beach and vast natural surrounds are some of the key inspirations listed for their music, along with an emphatic desire to create something every day… “....I get a really good feeling creating, I can’t imagine not making at least one thing a day, even if it’s just seeing the waking day a bit differently, writing something down or making noises”
Seeing himself as a sort of pattern maker or sonic collage artist, making sections of textures and repeating sounds, weaving them together to create a warm quilt of sound to get lost in, to hear back and take comfort in.

“Making a soundscape that is honest and charges the imagination/emotions is pretty much the end game. So much of music for me is interpreting the textures as a visual thing/scene.” e4 draws sonic inspiration from the likes of Animal Collective and Madlib, layering sampled sounds and textures, creating pulsing walls of sound and looping melodies all spliced, filtered and charged by the imagination and emotions experienced throughout daily life and the
everyday weird world.

Comparisons have been stacked up to the sounds of (Sandy)Alex G and the early work of Sydney duo - Fishing. e4 already has a string of high profile support slots in the bag, playing alongside the likes of Jens Lekman, GUM, Tropical F*ck Storm, Jaala, Body Type and Hatchie.

Recent singles ‘The Oarsman’, ‘Luciday’ and ‘Golden Highways/Plovers’ were added to rotation on FBi Radio received high praise from Triple J and Triple J Unearthed. ‘The Oarsman’ was notably remixed by the legendary SONIC BOOM (Spacemen 3 / Spectrum / E.A.R. and producer/collaborator with MGMT/Panda Bear/Beach House).
