Amyl and the Sniffers

Amyl and the Sniffers is an explosive punk band from Melbourne, Australia. Amy Taylor (vocals), Bryce Wilson (drums) and Declan Martens (guitar) are former housemates who formed the band, wrote a handful of tunes and released their debut EP, Giddy Up, all in a span of twelve hours. Completing their line up with Gus Romer on bass, Amyl and the Sniffers set out to have as much fun as possible, and scared up a whole lot of fans along the way.

A break-out act at UK showcase festival The Great Escape, Amyl and The Sniffers were introduced to US audiences on a 22-date North American tour supporting King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, pulling rave reviews.

2018 saw the band sign to Gizz’s Flightless Records for Australia/NZ and to ATO Records/Flightless for North America. Following multiple sold out shows in the UK and Europe, the band signed to Rough Trade Records for the rest of the world – the first Australian band to ink an album deal with Rough Trade since The Go-Betweens.

"Led by human firework Amy Taylor, Melbourne’s magnificent garage crew Amyl and the Sniffers play the single most exhilarating rock’n’roll show I’ve seen in years." The Guardian

“Aussie punks Amyl and the Sniffers – almost literally – tore apart London’s beloved Moth Club last night…[Taylor] clings to ceiling, seeming to walk along it, defying gravity, as though she’s possessed.” NME
